It’s been an amazing summer here in Maine, and I’ve been busy trying to take full advantage of it.  Unfortunately that means I’ve been slow on getting recent weddings up on here.  I am posting updates to my Facebook business page so make sure you “like” me so you don’t have to wait to see what I’ve been working on.

Here are some of the slideshows I’ve posted from this summer’s weddings.  I will be blogging each one of these weddings, and there are more to come soon.

A Kennebunkport Wedding Jo and Joe’s gorgeous wedding at Saint Ann’s and The Colony.
From the bride:  “Just wanted to thank you again for being an awesome photographer at our wedding last Saturday.  We had a big wedding party but you managed to get everyone in place at the right time.”

An Initmate Seaside Wedding Stunning ocean views + beautiful bride = happy photographer.
Jessamyn left this review on Pictage: “Amy is a wonderful photographer. Her work is excellent. She is great at being subtle during an event but getting all of the photos required. I highly recommend her.”

A Camp Wedding Sarah and Tom welcome family and friends to Taconnet on Great Pond for a deeply personal wedding.
From the newlyweds: “We want to thank you for being so amazing at our wedding. We have gotten a lot of comments about how great you were. You were so unobtrusive and had such a great way with everyone. Thank you again for all your hard work and look forward to creating the album with you.”

Within just a few minutes of meeting Jackie and Tom I knew I wanted to photograph their wedding.  I tried very hard to contain the “Pick me” record that kept playing in my head as we chatted about their wedding plans.  So when Jackie called to tell me that I was their photographer I was beyond thrilled.

The wedding day was split between Steuben and Bar Harbor.  Tom’s family owns a place at the very end of a series of dirt roads in Steuben.  There’s a sweet chapel there that dates back to 1910.  The florist transformed to sanctuary with strings of orchids hanging from the ceiling.  After a very personal ceremony performed by a dear friend of the couple’s, everyone shared a champagne toast beneath the trees as Ernie the bag piper played.  I took Jackie and Tom back to the cabin for some quick portraits by the water before we raced over to the Bar Harbor Regency. Cocktails were served on the patio outside the Stone House, overlooking Frenchman Bay.  Stunning.  Once the party got started, it never really stopped.  It was great evening of celebration.  From start to finish I loved this wedding.  Okay, that’s not entirely true — the long drive home on Sunday was a bit tortuous.

Best wishes to Jackie and Tom for a long life of joy and love!

Many thanks to the great professional vendors who helped make the wedding such a success:  Deb Jordan and her amazing staff at the Bar Harbor Regency and DJ Jerry Bazata.  The bride wore Oleg Cassini for David’s Bridal.  Bridesmaids wore David’s Bridal.  And if you even need a bag piper, Ernie Smith is your guy.
