I absolutely love the Fine Art Books that I offer. The image colors are vibrant and rich, the paper is thick and luxurious, and the finishes are stunning. Fine Art Books come in many different sizes. The most popular for brides and grooms is the 10×10 (cost is $1000). I recently made three 6×8 Fine Art Books for the parents of a Bar Harbor Club wedding couple. The books are the perfect size for parents and cost only $650 each. The couple chose to have a “fusion” cover — this type of finish has a photo on the front of the book with leather (or fabric) on the back cover and wrapping around the spine to the front. Take a look at how it looks.

When Charlotte’s mother contacted me about photographing her daughter’s senior portraits I was in the middle of my busiest season. I had barely a free moment. I was honest with her about my work schedule, but she persisted and we managed to find a time that worked for us all. Boy was I glad I squeezed Charlotte into my schedule. She is a kind young woman, smart and beautiful, and for sure great in front of the camera.

I have been very fortunate to photograph two weddings at this special location, the Smith House. Even more lucky for me is that both times it was for the same family. When I arrived I found parking in the field and folks camping all along the coastline. People were playing guitars and singing over their lunch. The scene was certainly set for this wedding.

This wedding was full of wonderfully unique surprises and moments. The bride and groom made sure their personalities touched every aspect of the day. From the ceremony in the round that starred their sweet old dog to the dance that broke out at the end of the ceremony, it was clear that this wedding would be like none other. While the lobsters were baking over the fire, the guests enjoyed cocktails and the scenery, played lawn games and noshed the home made appetizers brought by fellow guests. The toasts made us all laugh and cheer, and the first dance got everyone in the mood for to party down on the dance floor. And I would be remiss if I failed to mention the fabulous pies and home made cookies! From start to finish this wedding was a stand out.

Best wishes to the happy couple for a life filled with much joy and gratitude. Many thanks to everyone for welcoming me back so warmly.

Below are some images from the day. There are many more here.
