I don’t often book weddings on both Saturday and Sunday of a weekend.\u00a0 But sometimes I get a call from someone with whom I really connect and I know there’s no way I can say no.\u00a0 This is what happened when I spoke with Jessamyn about her wedding plans.\u00a0 A small seaside affair seemed like a perfect way to spend my Sunday afternoon.\u00a0 Of course, it helps that Jessamyn is genuinely as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.\u00a0 Groom Tom? Well he’s the kind of guy who thinks a 50 mile bike ride on his wedding day makes complete sense.<\/p>\n

When I arrived at the house they had rented, I got out of the car and my jaw hit the ground.\u00a0 The view was spectacular.\u00a0 The weather was perfect — warm and sunny and not a hint of humidity.\u00a0 The vibe was decidedly chill and low key.\u00a0 Tom and his brother relaxed on the porch sipping home brewed beers and enjoying the ocean view while Jessamyn and the other ladies busied themselves with attaching the veil and selecting jewelry.\u00a0 The tone for the day was set in motion in the early stages of wedding planning, and their vision of a calm and easy wedding came to be.\u00a0 Family circled around as Jessamyn and Tom exchanged vows and rings.\u00a0 Hugs and laughter was shared.\u00a0 And did I mention the cupcakes yet?\u00a0 Wow.\u00a0 Everyone insisted<\/em> I have one.\u00a0 Sure, twist my arm.\u00a0 The last thing we did that day was hop in the car for a short drive down the road to the beach where Jessamyn’s family had spent so many summers.\u00a0 As the summer sun set on us I think we all turned a bit introspective and were thankful for all the beauty and joy around us that day.<\/p>\n

Thank you, Jessamyn and Tom, for giving me an amazing cupcake<\/span> afternoon.\u00a0 Your wedding reminded me that once you strip away all the pomp and circumstance, it comes down to the two people at the center of the whole thing.\u00a0 And if they are something special, the day is, too.<\/p>\n
