Kate and Aaron\u2019s wedding at the Falmouth Country Club proved that big things do indeed come in small packages.\u00a0 <\/span>With 30 or so guests and four hours with yours truly, Kate and Aaron managed to give me almost a full day’s worth of\u00a0images.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The color scheme for the wedding was one of my favorites \u2013 brown and green.\u00a0 <\/span>At each place setting there was a little dark brown box with a neat bow filled with chocolates.\u00a0 <\/span>With a nod to their honeymoon in Maui, Kate had the florist use tropical flowers in greens and browns with a red high light or two. \u00a0<\/span>As the sun was slipping below the tree tops, Kate and Aaron exchanged vows and rings.\u00a0 <\/span>Kate was glowing, and Aaron couldn\u2019t contain his smile \u2013 which made for great photos and a happy photographer! <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As we were walking around the property, we talked about the night\u2019s full moon.\u00a0 <\/span>Kate was keen to have me get a shot of it to use in her album.\u00a0 <\/span>Sure thing, I said, agreeing that the full moon would make a great image.\u00a0 <\/span>At the end of my time with them, I headed outside with my trusty tripod and started shooting the moon.\u00a0 <\/span>It wasn\u2019t long before I became frustrated\u00a0with my poor results.\u00a0 <\/span>As I was trying to get it right, I kept thinking about a film I\u2019d seen about Ansel Adams where he described how he happened upon his legendary image, Moonrise, Hernandez<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0 <\/span>In the interview Ansel Adams talked about how he couldn\u2019t find his light meter and was worried about getting the exposure right.\u00a0 <\/span>Then the man remembered that HE KNEW THE LUMINANCE OF THE MOON.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>This is what I\u2019m thinking of as I\u2019m stumbling around in the dark, unable to get the image I wanted. \u00a0<\/span>Surely with my fancy digital camera I could capture Moonrise, Falmouth Country Club! \u00a0<\/span>Suffice it to say, Ansel Adams I am not.\u00a0 <\/span>See for yourself (last image below).\u00a0 <\/span>After this wedding season slows down, I will definitely be getting to the bottom of my full moon issues!<\/span><\/p>\n
