Jenn and Jodie originally contacted me about photographing their 200 guest wedding at a nearby venue on 10\/10\/10.\u00a0 This particular venue penalizes couples for bringing in outside vendors (boo), and Jenn decided they would just have to go with someone through the venue.\u00a0 Fast forward many months.\u00a0 Jenn and Jodie did a complete 180 and instead started working on plans to elope at the Nubble Light in York, Maine.\u00a0 I could not have been more thrilled to receive that email from Jenn, asking me to photograph it.\u00a0 So it was that I packed up my gear on a Tuesday and headed down on a perfect<\/em> Maine summer afternoon to shoot my first ever elopement.<\/p>\n

Nubble Light<\/a> (Sohier Park) is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.\u00a0 There was not a chance that this would be a private ceremony.\u00a0 The crowd politely cleared off the rocks and kept a discreet distance from us as Jenn and Jodie exchanged vows and rings. \u00a0 Afterwards Jenn and Jodie happily allowed me to photograph them to my hearts content. We had to race the quickly setting sun, but I think we managed to get some amazing images.\u00a0 My hope is that their friends and family who were not able to witness the ceremony feel like they are reliving a part of it with these pictures.<\/p>\n
