Sometimes I find myself working in some miserable weather, but when it’s with people like Ashley and Derek I seem to mind it a lot less. And that’s not just because the session ended with beers. Looking forward to their wedding even more now that we’ve met in person.

Kelley contacted me about an engagement photo session at Popham Beach. The one hitch–she wasn’t yet engaged. “Haha…no really, it’s happening soon and I want to be prepared for when we are in Maine” she assured me. Fast forward a month. Kelley and Zack are in Maine (they live in AZ but Kelley’s family has a home at Popham Beach) for a week and just as she expected, Zack asked her to marry him. Woo hoo!! It was so much fun exploring gorgeous Popham Beach with these two. It’s not often that I get to photograph a couple so newly engaged. They were so excited and adorable. I hope their wedding later this year in Georgia is all they want it to be and more.

When I first met Erin and Dave to talk about photographing their wedding, I walked away from our meeting with my fingers crossed, hoping that they would hire me. They were super adorable and had a unique vision for their wedding. And we had gotten along smashingly. I’m pretty sure I jumped for joy when they hired me. A few months later we got to talking about their engagement session. They suggested shooting at Recompence Camp Ground in Freeport, Maine. I’m always up for exploring new locations so we set a date and met up there. To say these two were fearless would be an understatement; they were game for just about every pose and location I suggested. We all loved the results. Take a look and let me know what you think!
