Shout Out

September 16, 2009

Thanks, Monique, for the awesome review on Pictage:

“I was so lucky to have been referred to Amy. She was the most professional photographer and she had a master plan of the entire wedding party, actions, settings, details and locations. She planned on where to take my husband and I for our own photos together which was a beautiful hidden place by the beach. She managed to get amazing shots of the Portland Head Light in the background with the rocks. Amy is a strong leader and she got my huge bridal party in pefect form to take many different types of shots. I would recommend her to anyone for their special day!!”

August 29 Sneak Peek

September 14, 2009

Congrats to Margo and Sam!  These two had the ultimate wedding crasher — Hurricane Danny.  Thankfully Margo and Sam didn’t let the weather spoil their amazing wedding, and we all had such a great time ducking under umbrellas and dodging rain drops.  Many thanks to their chivalrous groomsmen for keeping the umbrellas over our heads!

Check back soon to see more images from the wedding, and please make sure you sign up to receive notification of when their online proof gallery is available:  www.pictage.com/636106

“Engagement” Session

September 9, 2009

It’s a lie to call this an “engagement” session.  Joan and Jay are getting married this Saturday, and they’ve been engaged for a while now.  We almost had this session at the beginning of the summer when they had flown in from their home in Seattle,  but they both chickened out  were  jetlagged.  I am so glad they decided to give it a go because this photo shoot was a blast.  Originally I’d planned on shooting at Fort Williams, but after talking with Joan we decided to go for something a bit more edgy.  Into the Old Port we headed.  Yeah, I know, it’s not really an urban jungle, but we worked with what we had.  I am thrilled with the results.  Thanks for pushing me to think outside my usual comfort zone, Joan and Jay.  You two really rocked it and fearlessly tackled some very public locations.  Can’t wait for Saturday!  Don’t forget to practice smiling with your eyes!
