October in Maine is quite remarkable.  The weather is usually mild (“sweater weather” some might say), the trees are ablaze in color, and the light is clean and clear.   Quite simply — it’s the perfect time of year for a family photo session.  I’m so in love with these baby girl outfits — so much cuteness in one place is hard to handle!   That’s big brother, Jack, at the bottom.  He was a trooper and sat for a couple of shots.  He’s an old pro at this by now. 

On the morning of this shoot I rolled out of bed, looked out the windows, and saw what every photographer who has a beach session wants to see — clouds.  By the time we all got to Pine Point Beach, the clouds had started to give way to a gorgeous blue sky.  We all steeled our eyes to the glare and willed them to stay open as wide as possible.  I am so thrilled with the results of our tricky session!  Here are some of my favorites.  The rest of the images will be available on Pictage.
