A Brunswick Wedding

October 13, 2010

Weddings in Maine are often on the coast with views of the sea.  It’s stunning for sure.  But there’s something about a tent in a field of tall grasses and wildflowers that just screams romance.  Gusty and Quinn’s wedding was held at Gusty’s family home in Brunswick.  The house is a rambling historic cape perched on a hill overlooking a large tree-lined field. They had family and friends lend their talents to all aspects of the day — an old friend turned caterer, Katie Kennedy, handled the show under the tent, a friend of Gusty’s parents created the gorgeous flower arrangements and her husband officiated the ceremony (siblings added personal readings and poems — leading to many tears all around!), favors were mini bottles of maple syrup produced by Gusty’s father (he has a sugar shack behind the house), and another friend took care of the master of ceremony duties. I felt honored to be one of the few outside vendors brought in for the day!

Huge congrats to Gusty and Quinn!  Below are some images from their wonderful wedding.  To see more, check out this slideshow.
